New England Revolution vs Real Salt Lake
Real Salt Lake's Javier Morales chipped Matt Reis (after a poor clearance from the keeper) and a recovering Michael Parkhurst for a well-placed first goal. A 6 minute period in the 2nd half produced the remaining goals of the game. In the 73rd minute, Andy Williams struck a perfect volley from a Morales floated pass. However, New England was not going to lose a result at home. Steve Ralston capitalized in the 77th minute off a weak clearance from Nat Borchers. Taylor Twellman got a couple good bounces leading to his 79th minute goal, but his strike was anything but luck. Late in the match, Andy Williams got sent off with a straight red after an altercation with Jay Heaps (received only a yellow), causing Andy to miss RSL's inaugural game at the Rio. The game ended 2-2 as RSL pulled away from the 3rd place tie in the West with the Colorado Rapids and FC Dallas.

I thought Andys goal was
I thought Andys goal was amazing, but if you look at the tape, he should have contested the ball when one of the New England players passed to Twellman, Andy looked confused and he and Beckerman just let Twellman walk right past them. Williams red card was unacceptable too. He is a veteran and should act like it. Whether it was the right call or not doesn't matter, he needs to act like an adult. It is also sad he won't be able to play in the Stadium Opener - a let down to him, his family and the fans.
